The safety of your family can’t be left to substandard auto glass repair or replacement.
Your auto glass is a vital part of your vehicle’s safety system, and the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966 states that repair facilities cannot leave a vehicle’s safety system inoperative. This is why Glass Doctor of Seattle takes auto glass repair and replacement seriously, only using materials and methods that meet or excede Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.
Auto Glass Repair – OEM Quality Glass
At Glass Doctor of Seattle, we only use OEM quality glass and DOT approved parts for your car or light truck. Your safety is important to us, and we don’t cut corners or use substandard parts. The glass we use in your application is OEM quality glass from manufacturers such as PGW and Pilkington.
Our windshields are also covered by the Glass Doctor G12 Guarantee. We guarantee that if your windshield is damaged or broken within (12) months of the replacement date, Glass Doctor will repair or replace the windshield glass only. This guarantee is a ONE TIME offer and does not include labor, kit, molding, or clips.
Auto Glass Repair – OEM Quality Installation
Glass Doctor of Seattle utilizes the “full-cut” method of auto glass repair. This method removes the broken windshield, along with most of the urethane adhesive. In the cases where the adhesive was not urethane-based, we will remove all of the bonding system. We then scrape the pinchweld (the area where the glass adheres to the vehicle), clean any corrosion or debris, and provide a fresh surface for the new windshield to adhere.
Auto Glass Repair – OEM Quality Adhesives
Our Auto Glass Repair installations use only OEM approved adhesives by Dow Automotive and Sika to ensure that your windshield is well bonded to your car. The Glass Doctor of Seattle technician will advise you of the safe drive away time for your car or truck, so that you know when the adhesive system has cured, your windshield is going to stay in place, and your car is safe to drive.
If you have an older vehicle that did not use a urethane adhesive system, we will generally use only the latest and safest application on your car or truck. In this way, our application and installation will meet or exceed the OEM safety standards for the vehicle.
